I've been to Korean Barbeque before but this new place that the bff had been dying to take me to blow every other place out of this world!

Castle BBQ in LA (near Koreatown) is all you can eat, that's right, ALL YOU CAN EAT! If you're like me, extremely fat and asian you'll most likely leave the restaurant unable to move and not hungry for the next couple of days..


I took my parents and my sister here last night. I think I should stop for a while..

Part II 9.18.11 "Grocery Shoppin'"

Continuing my hunt on left overs of the Missoni x Target collection, I decided to make another stop at the Target in Pasadena to see if they restocked yet. Sadly, no but I could never step foot into Target without making a full circle of the store.

P.s. Please save trees and refrain from using paper towels, the XLERATOR has to be my favorite air drying machine of all machines. It's the strongest and shortest and dries your hands spotless.



Sundays are normally "sister shopping day". If I'm doing well then I'd take her shopping for clothes but still, in this economy even if we can afford to go shopping every weekend we shouldn't, saving $ is a new thing I'm trying out. Grocery shopping however, is something we all cannot cut out from our lives though, it's a necessity so therefore Sundays are always grocery shopping day where I take my sister to fill up the kitchen with what she wants to have for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for the week.



Livingsocial had a coupon where you spend $10 and you get $20 worth of groceries or whatever you want @ Whole Foods, so we stopped by Whole Foods after Target.



P.s.s. Please stop using plastic bags and buy a reusable grocery bag for $.99 :)



And before we headed home, we made one more stop at another one of our favorite grocery stores, Trader Joe's! (Their seafood snack is to die for, I've been so obsessed with them!!!)

"The Egg Rolls are the Best Thing I Ever Ate"

Sis and I had been dying to try Golden Deli out since we saw it on Food Channel's "The Best Thing I Ever Ate" segment. One of the chef's said that his pick was the egg rolls from here so we were eager to try it since this place was only a few miles away from us! I haven't been able to stop wearing my Missoni x Target dress.. it's still been blazing hot here in LA and this dress is just perfect!

Best Friend Friday

On my days off.. for some odd reason I wake up several times during the morning-afternoon transition and just roll around.. until I decide to get up, Meeko barks nonstop to tell me he needs to go potty, or today's case, the best friend wants to go out. She tells me she has a surprise for me and I instantly get up to get changed. The day was pretty gloomy today so I settled for some denim and my boots from Target that I have been so obsessed with.

She's been dying to take me to this sushi joint called "Ichiban" in Glendale, CA since she's been with her dance team. We missed the lunch specials but still got some delicious rolls. My favorite, the Philadelphia Roll and her favorites, the salmon and tuna sushi and rolls. We were on a sushi high and ordered way too much so we were stuffed till the evening.



A teacher/advisor who I keep in close touch with from high school got me this shirt from Whole Foods. He had given it to my sister to hand it to me and I was surprised when I received it because the cut of it was actually pretty flattering. Well, compared to those XL t-shirts he normally gets me I was actually excited to wear this one! (Mr. Mason, if you happen to stumble across my blog please note that I love EVERYTHING you get me! I just happen to love this one a lot! Haha!) Anyways, the shirt is made from 100% organic cotton (duh, Whole Foods) and it's proceeds goes to a charity called.. (I need to check those photos I took of the tags because I forgot at the moment!)

We spent the rest of our evening after our big lunch around Glendale and West Covina. She again surprised me with a trip to the Target store in Glendale since she knew that I'd been stalking almost every Target for Missoni x Target but no luck at this location. We later transitioned to West Covina Westfield Mall to search for a similar sweater that she's wearing in the last photo at a store that guaranteed better quality. Again, a fail but nonetheless I had an amazing day running around/spending time with my best friend since it's been forever since we've had an actual "full day" together..

Baby Shower Luncheon in Irvine

Woke up extremely early on a weekend to attend my grandma's friend's son's daughter's baby shower or whatever Asian people call it when a baby turns a month old in Irvine.

+ received a bottle of OPI nail polish in the Fashion's Night Out gift bag and tried it last night. The color is gorgeous. It's a bright pink/red called "CAJUN SHRIMP", makes me want some Boiling Crab now..

Guppy House

I can't remember the last time I hung out with any of my friends aside from work. I've been working late hours the past few weeks so when I get a day off, I'm content with just being at home with my sister & Meeko, watching a movie and food.

Anyways, after a long while of being home though it's good to go out for some fresh air and wasting $ on unhealthy foods right?

Two of my good girlfriends Rosine & Lillian and I got together at went to Guppy House in Hacienda Heights. Extremely terrible service and C+ food but whatever, it's just a spot that's good to hang out and catch up.

Ate more than I should've tonight.. picked off of Lillian's Kimchi Fried Rice, Rosine's Beef Noodle Stew, my own Taro + Mango Shaved Ice, and a shared Coconut Brick Toast. You bet I didn't go to sleep before making a #2, haha.

Alcove Café & Bakery

I do not keep in contact with many people whom I went to high school with. Simply because many of them are away for school, doing different things, and too busy. But there's a phrase that puts all of those excuses into the dumpster.

It meant the world to be when one of my best girlfriend, Christy, who I met back in high school (freshman year) attended my graduation at FIDM. We don't talk daily and text here and there but when we get together it's just like how it was 4-5 years ago. I was really happy that we were both fortunate enough to find time out of our busy schedules to get together.



We went to Los Feliz to this adorable cafe called the Alcove Café & Bakery. Christy's also a heavy yelp-er like I am so I'm glad that we both don't have any issues with picking a place to eat or hang out at whenever we do get together. Every time we do, it's always somewhere new so it's exciting. I haven't written a review for Alcove yet but my salad was 4.5 stars which means I will definitely be returning.
