Four Hours On The Road

So this week will officially be Week #3 at my new job. I am enjoying my time at this new company as the pay as really, really good but I'm still seeking another because it isn't where I want to be. Though it's still revolved around the industry I want to be in (not necessarily fashion, more of entertainment) I am not 100%.. happy.

One of the reasons stopping me from happiness would have to do with the four hours I spend in Los Angeles traffic in the morning and in the evening. For the past 2 weeks I have been waking up at 6:00am, dropping my sister off at school and on the freeway I go.. I get to work at exactly 8:45am to get to my office at 9:00am. I get off at 6:00pm and I get home around 8:00pm..

I've been thinking about possibly seeking a job outside of LA because driving in four hours every day seriously drains the hell out of me.

On another note, the moon was extremely beautiful this week.. super big and shiny and worked as a mood brightener for me while driving home..

Update about a minute later..
I didn't realize I had already semi-ranted about my new job :) Sorry Stace and Kiwi, thanks for reading though!! xo

Part II 9.18.11 "Grocery Shoppin'"

Continuing my hunt on left overs of the Missoni x Target collection, I decided to make another stop at the Target in Pasadena to see if they restocked yet. Sadly, no but I could never step foot into Target without making a full circle of the store.

P.s. Please save trees and refrain from using paper towels, the XLERATOR has to be my favorite air drying machine of all machines. It's the strongest and shortest and dries your hands spotless.

Sundays are normally "sister shopping day". If I'm doing well then I'd take her shopping for clothes but still, in this economy even if we can afford to go shopping every weekend we shouldn't, saving $ is a new thing I'm trying out. Grocery shopping however, is something we all cannot cut out from our lives though, it's a necessity so therefore Sundays are always grocery shopping day where I take my sister to fill up the kitchen with what she wants to have for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for the week.

Livingsocial had a coupon where you spend $10 and you get $20 worth of groceries or whatever you want @ Whole Foods, so we stopped by Whole Foods after Target.

P.s.s. Please stop using plastic bags and buy a reusable grocery bag for $.99 :)

And before we headed home, we made one more stop at another one of our favorite grocery stores, Trader Joe's! (Their seafood snack is to die for, I've been so obsessed with them!!!)

1 Down 3 To Go

Made a trip to the library to renew some books and grabbed another one. The fourth book of 'The Twilight Saga' "breaking dawn" was in. Am I the only one who loves brand new hard cover books?

The bff still cannot believe I got sucked into this vampire love novel but what can I say, I am guilty.

I haven't even had time to finish book one but I should by this weekend so I can't wait to watch the movie & continue onto the other books..

Guppy House

I can't remember the last time I hung out with any of my friends aside from work. I've been working late hours the past few weeks so when I get a day off, I'm content with just being at home with my sister & Meeko, watching a movie and food.

Anyways, after a long while of being home though it's good to go out for some fresh air and wasting $ on unhealthy foods right?

Two of my good girlfriends Rosine & Lillian and I got together at went to Guppy House in Hacienda Heights. Extremely terrible service and C+ food but whatever, it's just a spot that's good to hang out and catch up.

Ate more than I should've tonight.. picked off of Lillian's Kimchi Fried Rice, Rosine's Beef Noodle Stew, my own Taro + Mango Shaved Ice, and a shared Coconut Brick Toast. You bet I didn't go to sleep before making a #2, haha.

Don't Judge

what you don't know, or in this case, what you haven't read.

Picked up the first 3 books of the "Twilight Saga" at the library today. I was originally going to read up on the Harry Potter series but they didn't have book one so how was I going to make that happen so instead, I picked these up and I have to admit, so far so good..

Family Sunday

Brandy Melville top, Forever21 shorts, Lauren Conrad for KOHLS shoes, ZARA handbag

Took a photo of every place I went to today. My parents normally do not have Sundays off so today was a special Sunday :) We started off the day by grabbing brunch at dad's favorite PHO (for those who do not know what it is, it's vietnamese noodles in soup! delicious!) restaurant in Rosemead, CA called 'Pho Pasteur'. After that we went straight to IKEA to look for a new bed for sis. I should've known that we'd be walking a lot today but I just had to take my brand new and first pair of Lauren Conrad for KOHLS platform sandals I had gotten yesterday night. I had them on my wish list but didn't feel comfortable paying for them retail so when I saw them on sale I had to pull the trigger! Oh, and the handbag is new too, got it as a graduation gift for myself about a month ago and never got the chance to take it out till today. Anyways, sis found a bed frame at IKEA but she needed the mattresses and dad did not like any of the selections at IKEA so of course, we went to an Asian furniture store and ordered a lovely SERTA mattress for sis. We ended our evening with a lovely dinner at sis and my favorite thai restaurant 'Thai Paradise' and is now home alone while dad, mom and aunt is away trying to win some chaaaa-chingggggg. Happy early Independence day to all my readers and new subscribers :)

Joey & Bo

Congratulations to my friend Joey and her now husband, Bo!

Tonight I attended my friend Joey's wedding. Our father's are good friends and daddy couldn't make it but mom, me, my sister Jennie, and cousin Kary attended. It was held at a lovely restaurant in San Gabriel near the San Gabriel Mission. I loved the colors she chose for the theme of her wedding, pink and purple! My favorites!

Joey and Bo dated for about 8 years before getting married. I remember when I was younger, visiting Joey at her work and Bo was then the "co-worker" and "friend". Now they are married, husband and wife! I wish them the best!
